Tie Dying with the masses - How To Tie-Dye Group in the Summer Camp in the classroom or for parties!

I love tie dying, because they are firmly set in rubber bands T-shirt in tanks of Rit Dye in primary school. The colors and patterns have been magical, but the funniest part was wearing my creation!

A few years later, and I was in VT Bright Side Tie-Dye Emporium in Brattleboro. Upon check-out with a bag of candy, I noticed a small sign that the owner was running a class in balance Death Foretold. I quickly discovered, and soon, the secrets of eyesStart Fade, T-shirts in a myriad of colors and patterns. provide information regarding the use of pieces to sell at local farmers markets, I have to camp and summer school so that children could make their own chunks. The pride showed when wearing shirts they did was justified. They were really beautiful.

I'm happy with the way I used to describe groups of children. I'm sure there are other ways and better, but that was great for me.The use Procion dyes are fiber reactive dyes. I bought more than a dry powder, so that the color would have a much longer duration. If you want to do this on a limited scale, try to buy three or so colors. I remember the colors are mixed! Dyes, chemicals and sprays can be purchased from the sources mentioned at the end of this article, although there are several other suppliers, too. By chance the company I used. They also sell small booklets detail howcreate specific projects are worth the few dollars they cost. All other materials can be purchased at the local Wal-Mart, K-Mart or grocery store. The key is that I wanted to time the T-shirt to fade and last a long, long, long time. If the fading is not a problem using Rit dyes are much less expensive and much easier. If you have something you want to create breathtaking and still regularly worn in three years, here's the deal ...

This is our way to tie the groupDie. There are a lot of work, so roll up your sleeves and get volunteer parents!

1) Buy the shirt for sale. We receive and large Xlarge for sixth graders. I'm not proud to be considered when we make shirts. I met no one wants a shirt that seems to spandex! I have several mothers in 4XL, and even if they would sleep their shirts, said they did feel good!

2) It is now necessary to remove to wash the shirts, not a fat left on the cutting Processing. Wash shirts in hot water with ¼ cup of soda or Pro Dye Activator and ¼ cup Synthrapol. Rinse in cold. Dry Shirts

3) Put a different number on the label of each t-shirt in permanent marker.

4) A solution of 5 liters of tap water to 3 cups of soda or Pro Dye Activator. There are four or five games of this need in a tub. I use my large sink for them. Add the shirts, up to 18 at a time, and let it sit in the solution for 15Minutes>. Rubber gloves, squeeze and put in a washing machine. Set washing machine to spin up to the final, and no water in the tub to spin rinse. Location shirts in a garbage bag to prevent drying out.

5) mix colors with distilled water until a week before his death. One liter of distilled water in an old blender, add the following:

¼ cup of dye

Fuschia

Bright Orange

Yellow Gold

Deep Purple

Raspberry (reddish purple)

½ cupDye

Turquoise (FOAMS!)

Kelly Green

Cobalt Blue (FOAMS!)

1 cup of dye

Better black

6) Save the dyes in spray bottles and milk jugs to clean.

7) Keep folded shirts on a "table of power" when you die.

8) headed in Seran wrap shirts. Get this set of kitchen / restaurant supply.

9) Be Shirts sit wrapped for two days.

10) When filling washer (top loading only), rubber bands removed from clothing (rubber gloves) and throw in a disc (12-18).Wash and rinse in cold water. Then click on synthrapol whites and ¼ cup cold rinse. Tumble dry.

11) wash with dark clothes the first few times, but T-shirts will be colorfast.
